Lelelele began its journey in India, where we combine traditional craftsmanship with organic materials and natural dyeing methods.
India is a land of contrasts, with immense cultural richness and a complex casting system. This country took us by suprise a couple of years ago. Sparking a passion that eventually led us back to the fashion industry. The warm-hearted people, amazing cuisine, and vibrant culture, we started the journey of slow fashion, partnering with these skilled tailors from Varkala.

Fabric: Our fabrics are crafted from the finest organic Indian cotton, available in both lightweight and heavier weaves, ensuring exceptional quality and comfort.
Dyeing: The fabrics are colored using an eco-friendly dyeing process in a small facility in South India. Around 50 locally sourced herbs, cultivated by the family-run factory, are utilized to achieve rich hues without chemicals. Due to the natural dyeing process, slight color variations are expected, adding a unique touch to each garment. Note that colors may fade after several washes.

Each shirt is crafted by our tailors, who spend about 1.5 hours on each piece, paying close attention to detail and quality. We emphasize not only sustainable materials and dyeing processes but also fair compensation for the tailors, ensuring they earn a living wage that is five times the local standard.

With a conscious mind, understand what you are paying for and determine what you are willing to pay at what cost.
